Therapy.
The thought of therapy probably fills you with a whole host of new worries. I get it, that's what anxiety does!
It likes us to stay in our 'comfort zone', but spoiler alert your brain doesn't sound like a comfort zone right now. I help people understand anxiety, how it works, how it's been manipulating you and how to finally take back control of your own mind.
I'm a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, which means I use evidence based techniques and years worth of experience to help people just like you. We explore what your anxiety looks like (everyone's is a little different!) and what exactly is keeping you stuck.
1-1 work means it's all about you. We delve into understanding the causes and maintenance of your anxieties. We drill down together to give you a clear understanding of the things that continue to make you feel this way. Then, we create a plan to use your regular sessions to help you regain control of your life, making more time for the things that really matter. Take a look below at what my clients say.

Therapy with me might be helpful if:
You spend a lot of time worrying about hypothetical scenarios (the what ifs...)
You feel a constant sense of fear and dread
You find yourself checking a lot
The brain feels like it never switches off
You're living in the future and not enjoying the here and now
You seek a lot of reassurance from others
If anything about my work sounds like it could help you, I would love to chat to you.
You can contact me via email, a phone call or a video call.
Lyndsey
Before therapy, my compulsions took up so much of my time. They had a huge impact on me day to day, especially my social life. Therapy helped me understand my intrusive thoughts and compulsions were OCD. I started to understand my anxiety and explain it to my family. I thought my compulsions were helping me but I learnt I needed to drop them and tolerate the uncertainty / anxiety. I didn’t appreciate how much they took over my life until I became free of them. Even through stressful times now they don’t creep back. I can control my anxiety and can have a positive outlook on my future.

Ashleigh has given me the skills to allow me to return to work by working through the symptoms of panic attacks and how to deal with and effectively manage anxiety. More importantly, Ashleigh has allowed me to live a more relaxed and happier life as a result of us working together.

I had therapy with Ashleigh for OCD, anxiety and panic, and it had such a transformative impact on me. Ashleigh helped me to understand that my symptoms were a product of my anxiety disorder, and to not be afraid of them, and she equipped me with the tools to notice them, label them and step back from them. Most importantly, she helped me to understand that my worries are never about the content, but instead my fear of uncertainty and has given me the confidence to be able to sit with a feeling of doubt, which has improved my symptoms greatly.
What my clients say
How much does therapy cost?
Where does it take place?
Do I work with insurers?
How many sessions will I have?
£85.00 per session.
Payable via bank transfer or card 24 hours before each session.
In the comfort of your own home. Sessions take place via zoom, and you'll receive my private link and password before each session.
I've decided not to work with insurers at the moment, which means we can be as flexible as we like.
We'll agree on weekly / fortnightly sessions initially as it's really important to work with momentum. How many in total will depend on a number of factors which we can discuss in your initial consultation.
